Season’s Greetings and Good Luck!

It’s that time of the year again where we sit around and drink beer or rum.  So, no different to any other weekend down at the sailing club.

Seriously though, this time of year is the time to be with family and reflect on 4 months worth of sailing that has passed us by since the start of the season.  For our little part of the sailing community, we’re touched with sadness at the loss of a mate doing the thing we love most.  Casper will forever remain in our hearts and minds.

Almost all of the 18ft skiffs got paintjobs at the beginning of the season, and we’re slowly re-badging them for the sponsors who have come on board – PB Towage, Ullman Sails Brisbane and Nicstar Global (not forgetting of course Winning Appliances that carried over sponsorship from last year).  We’ve still got a couple of skiffs looking for sponsors… contact the Club Captain for more details.  A big shout out to Moreton Bay Signs who have prettied up the hulls with the sponsors’ branding.

It would also be remiss of us not to wish Ben and Craig the best of luck when they head over to En Zud for the 2014 12ft Skiff Interdominions, at Worser Bay BC, Wellington.  Make sure the Tank Girl has all guns firing lads!

So on that note, take care one and all, we know Santa won’t be visiting any of the skiffnuts since we’re always naughty.  Have a safe, happy and prosperous Christmas and New Year, and we’ll see you in 2014.
