Vale Merle Bailey

The Commodore invites Members to attend the Service for Life Member and longstanding Juniors Division Member Merle Bailey at the Mt Thompson Crematorium, Holland Park in the East Chapel at 12.30 p.m., tomorrow, Friday, 18th May, 2012.

For those who didn’t know Merle, she was very involved in the Junior Division and was one of our “Junior Ladies” always there starting races, organising trophies, etc.  You could say Merle was the Junior’s Christine as you could certainly hear her when she wanted to be heard!

Merle kept meticulous records of the sailing results and of the trophies awarded – there was no chance you'd ever get two of the same thing!

We wish her fair winds and following seas in her journeys to come.
