Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea will extend a firm ridge and east to southeasterly winds into southern Queensland waters throughout the forecast period. A slow moving trough offshore of the Mackay coast will combine with the ridge to the south to result in strong southeasterly winds through Capricornia waters during the remainder of today and Saturday, before gradually easing on Sunday. The ridge should start to relax from Sunday as the high in the Tasman Sea shifts slowly east.

BOM is showing SE 15-20kts gusting to 25kts at times on Saturday, conditions easing to a less rig busting 10-15 E for Sunday and Monday. Windfinder.com is similarly showing these conditions throughout the week, with Saturday 14th looking like the 12s will farewell the regatta in almost the same conditions as we expect tomorrow.
Hope you can make it down tomorrow!
