The honours were shared in a Big Rig battle on the bay.
The Ghetto Sled, with new team of Richard Billett and Ben Cross took to the bay against PB Towage, crewed by Tristan Hamilton and fill-in skipper Ben Guymer. A light 8 knot easterly drifted across the course as the 29er nationals was underway at the opposite end of Green Island. Finding the breeze was the tactic for the day and PB found it in the first race, Ghetto the second.
It was a pretty cruisee start to the year and we are looking for more local boats to take to the water to spice things up. Even some 18s to compete against would be nice.?
