Brisbane Sailing SquadronThe regatta shall be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2009 – 2012 (RRS), the Prescriptions and Safety Regulations of the AYF, the rules of the Australian Historical Sailing Skiff (AHSSA) 10 Foot class (except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions) and by the sailing instructions.
3.1 The regatta is open to Historical 10ft Skiffs recognized by the AHSSA.
3.2 Skipper & owners of competing skiffs must be financial members of AHSSA.
3.3 Entry forms must be signed by the competitor
3.4 Completed forms shall be received at the entry address no later than 18.00 hrs on Monday 19th March 2012

Heat 1: 14:00 Saturday 24th March
Heat 2: 11:00 Sunday 25th March
Heat 3: 14:00 Sunday 25th March
Heat 4: 12:00 Monday 26th March
Race times are indicative only and may be delayed by the Race Committee.
Random measurement checks and inspections may be carried out at any time. A Boat notified of inspection shall follow the instructions of the Race Committee.
The Sailing Instructions will be available online after 18:00 on Monday 19th March 2012 at the Club website, and will be issued to all competitors.
The racing area will be based on the Bulimba, Hamilton and Colmslie Reaches of the Brisbane River as shown in illustration ‘A’, attached. Starts and finishes will be adjacent to the rigging area at BSS.
The course shall be a windward and return style course (wind direction permitting), as described in the Sailing Instructions.
The AHSSA Low Point system shall be used.
Taking a Penalty rule (RRS 44.1) will apply, altered to one turn (one tack and one gybe) for breaking a rule of Part 2.
Protests will be conducted under Part 5 of the RRS.
The Club rescue boats include two rigid hull inflatables (at least one equipped with a petrol pump), and a fibreglass runabout.
Prizes will be awarded to first place (overall) and first on handicap.
